Gaining critical acclaim from the national press and his peers, Sunjay is one of the UK’s brightest young stars.

November 30th 2015, welcomes Sunjay’s latest release 'Black & Blues'. Returning to New Mountain Music Studios with producer Eddy Morton (The Bushbury Mountain Daredevils), 'Black & Blues' was recorded in a single day on 25th August 2015. The album, comprised of 10 traditional blues songs, interpreted and arranged by Sunjay, showcases his powerful vocals and his intricate, masterful guitar playing.

“Quite a few of these songs I have been singing & playing since I was about 5 years old. My dad taught me Buddy Holly songs when I first started playing guitar. Pretty soon I realized that finger-picking the guitar looked much better than strumming. That was my introduction to the blues, although I don’t think I would have been able to define ‘Blues music’ at the time. There was something about that kind of music that intrigued me. It’s funny to look back now and to realize that I knew very little about the content of the song!”

In 2014/5 Sunjay continued to build upon his reputation as a great performer and a rising star, with two headline tours across the UK and continued critical acclaim for his third album "Sunjay".

He’s had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the industries’ finest supporting Steeleye Span, Passenger, Chris Smither and most recently Show of Hands at Abbotsbury.

On 30th November 2015, Sunjay will release his fourth album ‘Black & Blues’, a stripped down, twenty first century reinterpretation of the Blues of the early twentieth century.
